They are interviewing some of the musical acts, which makes it interesting. These videos are going to be a bit more choppy in the transitions, fair warning.

ETA: OMG! He did ask her out. Way to go, Kim! That was really a cute moment, too. I knew David C. was a wise man. As for the show... thought it was excellent. They truly do a great job, and they all looked gorgeous. More later. I have to reload pts. 3 & 4.

At about 1:55 into the video you can see Justin come almost sprinting out of the Skybar building (?) and jump in the waiting towncar last night.

I got to watch the whole thing last night, and it was an excellent show. Fast moving, fun, some of the unexpected (DC asking Kim out on a date!), and Simon/Randy got to show off their enormous egos. Admit it S & R, the audience finally told you where to stuff your manipulating antics

It's a different video. In my hurry, I put in the link but forgot to put some text to show you where it was.
You know, Justin in his blog said that the younger David was clearly the superior performer when seen live. What this did was show people once and for all that it sounds different live than when you hear it through the broadcast mix. Not to mention the favors the camera angles and quick cuts do for some performers. |

After listening to that interview, I think young Mr. G has not only learned to play the game, he's finessed it. Make your jokes about the snark funnier
than their jokes and sound super enthused about your own projects. Good on him.
But now, retire the Oscar bit. It worked for those interviews, it was okay on Chelsea Lately, but Justin tends to sound less and less natural when he pulls out a line he thinks works, after the first couple of times. Wellll, in the wacky way that Hollywood works, all the money TVG spent promoting Idol Tonight has nothing on the PR the show has gotten this week from Cook
asking Kimberly to dinner. I see it has now made the AP. I also got a 404 error page when I clicked her website--is it being crushed by suicidal fangirlies?? LOL
